PEPSI forced to apologize after torturing Cristiano Ronaldo voodoo dolls in their advertisement.
Pepsi's Swedish subsidiary have been forced to apologize after they lanuched a series of viral adverts pre Sweden's important World Cup play-off against Ronaldo's Portugal in which they show the Portugal star's dolls being tortured in many ways.
This has left the Portuguese all around the world and general Ronaldo fans angered. Around 43,000 (so far), have lodger their protest on social media, making a Facebook Group titled “Nunca mais vou beber Pepsi” (‘Never drink Pepsi again’).
PEPSI have since used their official Facebook account to apologize for their ill-conceived adverts and left the following statement:
“We would never want to put the sport or the spirit of competition in a negative light. We regret if people were offended by the posts; they were immediately taken down. We would like to extend our apologies to all concerned.”
