Man UTD are in Advance stages to bring Former Player back to Old Trafford !! Would be an Awesome Signing !!
Man United reportedly ‘look set’ to re-sign Stoke City centre-back Ryan Shawcross according to Sports Direct News.
This source appears to believe that a move to bring back the tough tackling defender to Old Trafford is likely to succeed as David Moyes looks to strengthen his back-line.
With Rio Ferdinand clearly in the latter stages of his glittering career and Nemanja Vidic struggling with injuries and form a move to bring in central defensive additions would be a wise one.
Shawcross left Man United for the Britannia Stadium in August 2007, initially on a loan basis, and has been a consistent performer for the Potters ever since.
The uncompromising defender has been attacked for being overly physical, most notably being lambasted for the challenge that left Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey out of action for the best part of a year, however Shawcross has displayed enough ability to force his way into Roy Hodgson’s England national team set-up.
This source believes that the chance to cash in on Shawcross will tempt Mark Hughes, who has already set his sights on his former Man City charge Joleon Lescott.
Shawcross has made a total of 253 appearances for Stoke City.
